The Kamiti Call Centre and The Art of Communication

Kamiti Prison

Communication is a currency just like money. Those who have mastered the art of communication have a higher chance of success in their trade than those who haven’t. The ability to communicate effectively gives you an easier time in winning over potential clients and converting them into paying customers.

At the core of marketing is effective communication. The business that better connects with their target customers are those that have understood how to capture their customer’s needs and present their offering as the best solution to meet the need.

The Limitation of the Art of Communication

Whereas mastering the art of communication is important, it doesn’t give the believer any advantage over the non-believer. Any person can master the art of effective communication through training and exercise.

The recent news documentary by Citizen TV titled “Kamiti Call Centre” (available on YouTube) proves it beyond a shadow of doubt. Criminals behind bars who can convincingly pretend to be anyone from an expatriate looking for local love, a business tycoon with just the perfect opportunity for you, a teacher of your child at school, your bank’s customer representative, and any other character they can use to deceive.

The Kamiti news documentary shows how criminals by mastering the art of communication can fool and con unsuspecting individuals leaving them nursing emotional and financial losses.

Is there something more to the art of communication that a believer can employ and find favour and success without resorting to the conniving ways of the world?

The Spirit of Communication

Yes, there is and it is called the spirit of communication. The spirit of communication is based on a higher intelligence and knowledge. The Bible says that let your speech be seasoned with grace (Ephesians 4:29). The world is not capable of graceful communication because it is a divine spiritual quality.

A speech seasoned with grace is not only convincing but convicting, yet not deceptive nor full of cajoling – like that of Delilah towards Samson. It is the kind of speech that Apostle Paul gave before king Agrippa (Acts 26:1-28). It’s the kind of speech that the apostles gave before the chief priest and the rulers (Acts 4:8-13). It is a speech that is based on the value system of truth and wisdom from above.

There are situations that leave you speechless yet a response is required of you. The Bible says that in those instances, don’t worry about what you will say, it shall be given you in that moment by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 10:19). Imagine yourself in the boardroom before a panel interviewing for an opportunity that will transform your life. Imagine a situation where it’s your word against your accuser and you have no witness on your side.

The spirit of communication is more than the ability to put together coherent statements in the right order, tone and punctuation. It’s a divine ability that sets you apart and gives you spiritual intelligence.

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. (Luke 21:15)

Stephen experienced the promise in the above scripture as recorded below.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. (Acts 6:10)
